“Love is the Way: Holding onto hope in troubling times” Book Study
Leader: Fr. Joe Bowden
When: Sunday, 10 – 10:45 a.m.
Gather outside by the Celtic Cross (6th St. parking lot side of church)
Join Fr. Bowden for this study on our Presiding Bishop’s latest book. All who are interested are invited to gather by the Celtic Cross on Sundays at 10 a.m. We will end promptly by 10:45 am to allow everyone time to get into church. In this book, Bishop Curry offers no abstract or philosophical analyses of love. He simply tells his personal stories of how he has experienced the love of God, which he proclaims is the only source and key to life and that love is “an equal opportunity employer.”
The book has 12 chapters – we will do two each Sunday. The schedule will look something like this:
- May 9: Introduction, Chapters 1 and 2
- May 16: Chapters 3 and 4
- May 23: Chapters 5 and 6
- May 30: Chapters 7 and 8
- June 6: Chapters 9 and 10
- June 13: Chapters 11 and 12 and Appendix: Love in Action – a Daily Planner.
