Find your place. Our formation programs offer a time and place for every age to be formed in the Christian faith. Formation is a valuable way to enliven your faith and come to see the meaning of the Good News in community. Much of the work of the Holy Spirit in formation is in forming relationships.  We invite you to join us Sundays at 9:30 AM. The full complement of formation offerings is listed below.

ADULTS

The Sunday Forum: Questions of Faith: the Catechism and Christian Life Today

Tucked away in the back of the Book of Common Prayer, we can find a treasure called “An Outline of the Faith, commonly called the Catechism.” Based on the Creeds, this Outline is structured in question and answer format. The format invites us to bring our own questions forward. And the generous nature of the provided answers invites us into deeper faithful exploration, instead of imposing easy, pat answers. For much of this year, the Sunday Forum will take the Catechism as an outline for exploring the questions that motivate our faithful exploration of truth and relationship with God. Godly Play

Godly Play follows the circle of the Church year and is a space where children of all ages learn the stories of God and the language of the Christian people in a Montessori style format. It is a space that gives permission to play, wonder and allow for big questions.

Each week’s lesson helps our children understand the Church’s beliefs and practices following the model of the Holy Eucharist: gather, tell the sacred story, pray, share and send forth. Laughter and creativity are woven throughout.

Episcopal Youth Formation

The Episcopal Youth Formation is focused on faith and practice responding to God’s call to love one another. We will structure conversation to explore their faith, ask questions and be in community with one another.

YOUNG ADULTS – Common Ground Fellowship

Common Ground Fellowship gathers on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 7 pm. This group is our “common ground” for adults in their 20’s to 40’s to gather in fellowship, service and deepening faith, whether single or partnered. (Note: these events do not include childcare.) Lectio at Lunch

Lectio at Lunch meets Thursdays 12 noon in Tyler Hall. Our text for 2026-2027 program year is We Make a Road by Walking, by Brian McLaren. The text is available on Amazon and through other outlets, though is not required for the class.  We will read relevant pages in the class.

At this noonday Bible study we’ll share a light lunch and a figurative walk through the church year.  Brian McLaren’s teachings loosely follow the liturgical calendar and offer meaningful insights on “aliveness” in the Christian journey.

We finish promptly at 1:00 PM and invite you to join us as your schedule allows. You may bring your own lunch or share in the meal provided. Donations welcome.

Education for Ministry – EfM

The Education for Ministry program is designed to help move individuals toward a deeper understanding of the fullness of God’s kingdom and one’s individual and shared role in it. We do this through study of scripture, Christian history, theology and ethics, accompanied by development of skills in theological reflection. The weekly meetings typically begin with prayer and worship followed by discussion of our readings and reflections on how the Christian tradition, culture, and experience shape our beliefs and our actions. There is considerable room for exploration in EfM: Questioning and uncertainty often are catalysts for spiritual growth.
