The mission of the Flower Guild is to beautify the altar of Saint Paul’s Church and its surroundings to the greater glory of God.

The Flower Guild is composed of several teams of volunteers. Each team selects and arranges the flowers about once a month. The team meets on its designated Saturday morning at 9:30 to condition the flowers and create the arrangements for the following Sunday. The entire guild works together at times such as Christmas, Easter and for special feast days.

The guild depends solely upon sponsorships from the parishioners. Flowers may be placed on the altar in memory or thanksgiving of someone special or in celebration of a special event.  Parishioners are encouraged to contact the Parish Office to discuss open Sundays for altar flowers.  Special requests regarding colors or choice of flowers by a sponsor should be made to the guild at least three weeks in advance. Special feast days require more traditional guidelines to be followed. Greenery only (no flowers) is permitted during Advent but may be sponsored at reduced prices.  The altar is essentially bare during Lent.

The guild welcomes any parishioner who may be interested in joining.  No prior experience is required. We are happy to explain how we operate and teach anyone interested in learning.

Each fall the Flower Guild sponsors a floral workshop for current and prospective members to share fundamentals of floral arrangements. Please check the parish calendar for event date or contact the parish office. If you share a love of beauty, please consider the Flower Guild when thinking of joining a ministry.
