FROM THE RECTOR – September 18, 2020

To the community of Saint Paul’s,

To the Community of Saint Paul’s Church,

Your Vestry and Vestry committees have been working hard to develop a plan for our return to in-person worship. Following the guidelines of the Diocese of Georgia we are prepared to begin, in the safest possible manner, with the 5:30 p.m. Celtic service on Sunday, September 27.

As we begin this process it will take the cooperation of all involved. Attendance will be limited to 50 people which means a congregation of 38. Attendance will be by reservation only and seats will be assigned upon arrival. We ask that you sign up for only one Sunday in order that others may attend. If, on the Friday before, there are spaces available you are welcomed to sign up again. Click here for the Sign Up Genius and here for more information regarding protocols and guidelines that will be followed during the service.

If you know of anyone who does not have email, please be in touch with them asking that they call the parish office Monday morning.

Know that our 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship will continue to be offered on Facebook live and WGAC Radio FM 95.1 at 11:00 a.m. and will be posted to YouTube on Sunday afternoon.

We understand that some may still not feel comfortable returning for in-person worship. The time will come but until then, please avail yourselves of our other opportunities found on our Church Online webpage.

The answer to a question I posed early in the pandemic…“Are we there yet?” “We’re getting there.”

Let us pray.
O Almighty God, you pour out on all who desire it the spirit of grace and of supplication: Deliver us, when we draw near to you, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with steadfast thoughts and kindled affections we may worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

George
