Parish Life and Hospitality Committees
Saint Paul’s is a lively parish! The Parish Life and Hospitality Committees work hard to assure that everyone in our church, members and guests alike, young, old, and all the ages in between, feel included and a part of the family. This group organizes events throughout the year, such as Prime Time Parties, Under 50 Gatherings, Newcomer Parties, and the Parish Picnic. This group also caters receptions following Evensong and other special occasions. They support the Bereavement Committee by supplying food and assisting families in times of illness and death.
Second Sunday Birthday Celebrations
On the Second Sunday of each month, ALL are invited to gather in Tyler Hall following the 11 o’clock service for a brief but joyful celebration to honor our old and young souls whose birthdays fall in that month. On Second Sundays, our usual after-service gathering on the front porch will relocate to Tyler Hall. If you enjoy baking and would like help provide celebration goodies, join our baking guild.
Prime Time
Friendships are one of a few things that improve with age. Prime Time is an opportunity for 50 year olds and over to get together and celebrate at Fall & Spring soirees filled with fellowship, good conversation, libations and wonderful Southern nibbles. This fun evening is usually held at a parishioner’s home or in the River Room at Saint Paul’s church.
Under 50 Gatherings
A leg of the Parish Life Committee designed to provide an opportunity for the under-50 members of the congregation to join together for social time while enjoying hospitality at home. The gatherings are informal and offered two to three times a year.
Children, Youth, and Families Committee
The Children, Youth and Families Committee of Saint Paul’s Church plans events for family fun, fellowship, outreach, and worship opportunities. The Committee provides support, advice, and guidance to the Directors of Children and Youth Ministries.
