Youth Group (EYC)
Saint Paul’s Youth Group, otherwise known as EYC, is a great place for fellowship and fun! We meet every Sunday evening from 5:00 – 6:30 PM. Find out more about EYC at Saint Paul’s here.
Worship
Saint Paul’s youth regularly participate in all aspects of worship as acolytes, choir members, lay readers, and Eucharistic Ministers. Being essential parts of these ministries allow youth to develop their own connection to worship and build their own relationship with the church and a deepening of their own faith. Find out more about these roles in the worship section of this website.
Christian Formation
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds,
so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. – Romans 12:2
Youth Christian Formation meets from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Sunday mornings August through May. Two classes are offered:
Youth (Grades 9-12)
Youth Room
We are excited about the changes in the Youth Christian Formation Program. Ranie Neislar is leading a class for high school students. This class covers a range of topics all rooted in the concrete experiences of 9th-12th graders. We will simply be tracing how our faith lives are tightly tied (sometimes surprisingly so!) to our lives as 21st century Americans. Join us on Sunday mornings to have your mind blown and your faith enriched!
Youth (Grades 6-8)
Upstairs parish house – Room A
Our youth will begin a new curriculum that focuses on BEING Christian rather than just talking ABOUT Christianity, and at the end of the multi-year program the youth themselves decide whether they are ready for the Rite of Confirmation.
Outreach
Youth work with adults in many of our regular Outreach ministries including Manna Pantry, Master’s Table Soup Kitchen and Veterans’ Ice Cream Socials, as well as our annual Angel Tree Party and Ironman Sunday. Learn more about programs on the Outreach page of this website and look for our next date to serve in our Sunday bulletin announcements, Quarterly Outreach Opportunities, and Weekly Postings.
Episcopal Diocese of GA Youth Events
Diocese of Georgia Youth Events allow our youth to connect with Episcopal youth from other parishes around the state. Events like New Beginnings (Students in Grades 7-9), Hometown Missions (Students in Grades 3-12), and Happening (Students in Grades 10-12) help youth to explore and deepen their faith while having fun and growing in their community at large. We encourage students at Saint Paul’s to actively participate in the larger Episcopal Church community.
